STUFF AND NONSENSE SPRING 2008

Hi friends. Firstly, we'd like to extend a big thanks to everyone who put their fingers in February's UK tour pie. It was a fun week. Manfest was a cracking triumph and dates are in the diary for Manfest to continue well beyond 2025. Big gracias also go to Nervous Kid and 8aven who were great, great, great musically and personalllllllllllllllly.

I've just listed some gigs that we are confirmed to play, all of which are very exciting. The music men of Tank have very pressing romantic commitments between now and summer, but we have found the time to slot in some performance, including the best 3 day festival of the year Chinchillafest and a gig in Leeds with Melt Banana - chhhhhheck the listing!

We have been getting a lot of gig offers, all of which are much appreciated. We wish we had more capacity for these loving requests, but in the words of the late Alec Guinness, 'time is money, motherfucker'. Come the Autumn months the Tank will tour again - location tbc.

The music men of Tank are putting their minds and bodies into recording a new album for On The Throne Records. So far, progress amounts to a couple of farts in a jar. Sources from within the studio say it could be their greatest material to date.

Also for anyone familiar with this site, why not try having a quick look around it again; we have hidden loads of extra juicy treats including whole set/album downloads and extra writings.

Thanks for reading this pile. Keep the faith!

NEW THAT FUCKING TANK SINGLE OUT NOVEMBER 10TH

Our new single, 'The Awesome Magnet' b/w 'Facist Because Beautiful' will be available to buy from November 10th. The single is packaged with a DVD containing japes and punishment from Andy and James' European Tour in June '07.

Just in case it has escaped your acute attention, Giles Bailey (who along with Andy and James made up the infamous early 00's Leeds band Kill Yourself) sings on the latest recording. Tank, featuring Giles, will be a live trio from November 10th.

Speaking of November 10th, there will be a launch gig for the newrecord at the Brudenell Social Club, Leeds. Also playing are Monty Casino, Pixel Pixel Pixel, Candles and the Lizardmen. Festivities start at 7pm - bring your boozing skills.

We have a few gigs coming up which you can see here. If you want to order the record, check out the mighty On The Bone Records.

Finally, the last news update contained a grave spelling error - big apologies to Mattia from Nervous Kid. What a load of nonce-sense.

Everything else is pretty, pretty good.
